The 3D flame bead is a small shaped LED element at the tip of the wick that creates a three-dimensional flame appearance when lit, unlike a flat LED that reads as a disk of light. It sits above a black wick made to look like a burned cotton wick, and the combination is what makes these resemble a real taper candle rather than a generic LED stick.

The timer cycles on a 24-hour repeat schedule. Once set, the candles turn on and off at the same time every day without any further input. If you set them to turn on at 6pm for 4 hours, they will activate at 6pm each evening until the batteries are replaced or you change the setting.

The 0.8-inch diameter is narrower than a standard taper candle (which is typically 7/8 to 1 inch). The included square candlestick holder is designed for this candle specifically. If you plan to use existing holders, measure the socket opening — holders designed for standard-diameter tapers may grip the candle loosely or not at all. The included holder is recommended for secure display.

20 days of continuous use means roughly 480 hours total. At 6 hours per evening, that translates to about 80 evenings per battery set — well over two months of nightly use. When brightness begins to drop noticeably, swap the batteries; the bottom panel provides access without tools.
